Public Benefits Access
One of the first Robin Hood Benefits Access and Assistance sites (formerly Single Stop) in the city, FAC’s Community Services program screens more than 1,000 people annually, connecting those who are eligible with public benefits and entitlements, such as low-cost and no-cost health insurance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), SCRIE and DRIE and other benefits to support family and housing stability.

Financial Coaching
FAC is home to a Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Financial Opportunity Center (FOC), which provides ongoing one-on-one financial education and coaching to low-income individuals. Our FOC coach helps participants build their net worth, improve their credit score, and set and advance toward financial goals.

Free Legal Services and Tax Preparation Assistance
We partner with Brooklyn Legal Services to help our participants access legal services. Each year, we partner with Grow Brooklyn to provide free tax preparation services for low income individuals and families.
