Building More Affordable Housing for NYC
Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC) develops, preserves, renovates, and manages affordable housing units for low and moderate-income New Yorkers.
Our impact:
- Over 1,200 units of affordable housing built or renovated
- Over 2,000 additional units in development

Tenant Organizing and Advocacy
Are you facing eviction or housing instability? You’re not alone.
Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC) provides hundreds of tenants every year with:
- Eviction prevention services
- Referrals to partners for legal representation
- Assistance with filing forms and documents
- Support to organize tenant associations
- Educational workshops on tenant rights and community activism
- Opportunities for community members to participate in policy change efforts
Adult Education Programs

Level up your skills with Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC) Adult Education.
Our Adult Education programs include:
- GED Prep Classes
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
- Digital Literacy Skills: Practical technology skills, online safety, and financial management
- Bridge programming, which provides instruction to prepare students to enter workforce development programs with FAC’s affiliate, Brooklyn Workforce
