Innovaciones de la fuerza laboral de Brooklyn(BWI) is FAC’s workforce development affiliate. BWI’s mission is to empower low-income New Yorkers by creating living-wage employment opportunities and access to career paths. BWI’s programs counter prevailing market inequalities, especially those based on race or gender, and contribute to a broader movement for economic justice. 

BWI’s eight award-winning sector-based career training programs help participants access jobs with long-term career potential.

Career Training Bridge Program 

Fifth Avenue Committee’s Adult Education team provides our Bridge programs, which provide contextualized English instruction to prepare students to enter career development programs with Brooklyn Workforce Innovations. 

Choose from two career tracks:  

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Prepare for your Class B license and start a career in transportation.  
  • Cable Installation: Train for BICSI certification and learn to install and maintain network systems.
