Since 1978, Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC) has worked to create an equitable and just New York City where all people can live in dignity and respect in thriving communities. Your donation makes it possible for us to continue working toward that vision, allowing us to reach over 5,500 low- and moderate-income New Yorkers annually through affordable housing, grassroots organizing and advocacy, transformative education, renewable energy, leadership development, and financial stability services that build the power to shape our community’s future.
FAC also works closely and shares resources with our affiliate, Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN), a HUD-approved housing counseling and advocacy organization with roots in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
With so many ways to give, choose what works for you. Contact Fundraising Manager Nicole Stansifer at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or questions on any of the ways to give.

Stock, Wire, or IRA Distribution
- Gifts of Stock: Contribute stocks, mutual funds or other securities to FAC, get a tax deduction for the full current value, and avoid the capital gains tax you would have incurred if you had sold the assets outright.
- IRA Transfers: If you own a traditional or a Roth IRA, and are age 70 ½ or older, you can directly transfer up to $100,000 a year to FAC, without having to pay taxes on the withdrawal. Note: This rule does not apply to employer sponsored retirement plans.
